Lessons & Observations

“Write everything down. Memory is a terrible photographer.”

☑ The best meals happen when you can’t read the menu

☑ Three weeks is never enough

☑ Wander without direction first

☐ Learn at least 5 words in the local language

☑ The photos you regret not taking outnumber the ones you took

☐ Coffee always tastes better when you sit for it

Thinking Ahead

Portugal has installed itself in my head with a permanence that’s inconvenient for planning. But the notebook has fresh pages, and the next flight is never that far away.
